Lazo Roljic is a researcher who has specialised in organizational-technical and economic aspects of economy and social transition, particularly including education, many different schools, seminars and study visiting. He worked for 23 years at The Institute of Economics, University of Banja Luka, where he was engaged as a manager, author and chief researcher in numerous scientific researches and expert projects in the fields of development and organization of economic and social sectors, education and human resource planning, development and application of methods for economic analysis and management processes, functional and system analysis of social protection and service sector, and information technology applying. Since 1994, he has been working for the Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, as a professor in the field of information technology applying and management information systems. Within that period, besides the position of a University professor, Lazo Roljic took more studies and projects as a local expert and consultant for the World Bank, Ministry of Urbanism and Space Planning of the Republic of Srpska and B&H Ministry of Civil Engineering and Space Planning, and for the Independent Bureau of Humanitarian Issues (IBHI) Sarajevo, B&H.He was a co-author of the Spatial Regional Plan of Bosnia and Herzegovina and also a project team leader on some long-term and quarter projects on national and regional (B&H) level in the field of corporate strategic planning, functional and system analysis of social protection and social service sectors, and space, education, and scientific research development planning.
In addition to his work as an adviser, analyst and university professor and scientist, Lazo Roljic is a well-qualified and renown project manager. He has successfully launched a lot of large and complex projects. During his stay in the USA, from October 1998 to April 1999, as a Fulbright scholar, he organized and taught an undergraduate course in the field of Applied Management Science at the College of Management, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. He is also an educated multiplier for EC FP6 IST programme, and a member of editorial board of a scientific journal "Transition", University of Tuzla, B&H. Lazo Roljic has published 35 scientific articles and 5 books up to the present. |
