Dr Vassilis Barkoukis is a PhD Candidate at the University of Sheffield under the joint supervision of Dr. Angelos Rodafinos and Prof. Peter Harris. His PhD is focusing on the study of self-affirmation manipulations on athletes' and fitness exercisers' intentions towards doping behavior. His main research interests involve the implications of social-cognitive approaches into physical activity and the social-psychological determinants of healthy behavior. He is also an elected lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In addition, he is working with elite level athletes in a daily basis.
