SEERC and CITY College present at the 9th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (23-24 June 2016, Bucharest, Romania)

SEERC and CITY College representatives attended, moderated and delivered presentations at the 9th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development - ICEIRD (23-24 June 2016, Bucharest, Romania). The 9th ICEIRD (http://iceird2016.com/) which was originally founded by CITY College was organized by the National University of Political Science and Public Administration (SNSPA - http://www.snspa.ro/).

ICEIRD aims to bring together academics, researchers and entrepreneurs to discuss the perspectives of responsible development of small and medium -sized enterprises in a dynamic environment. The mission of ICEIRD is to support regional development, especially considering South East Europe, by providing a multi-disciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and regional development. Additional information on ICEIRD initiative, as well as the complete proceedings of previous editions are available here. The 2016 edition debated the complex relationship between entrepreneurship and responsibility, from a wide range of perspectives: economic, social, environmental, organisational, technological, competitiveness. Networking opportunities are offered during various activities proposed tot he participants. This year's event met a great success by combining a wide number of quality papers (presentations), workshops and sessions.

SEERC and CITY College were represented at the event by:

  • Prof Panayiotis Ketikidis (Founder and Chairman of ICEIRD, Chairman of SEERC)
  • Dr Dimitrios Nikolaidis (Head of the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College, key member of ICEIRD organization, as well as session chair)
  • Dr Alexandra Prodromidou (Lecturer at the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College and organizer of a workshop on qualitative research methods at the 9th ICEIRD)
  • Dr Anastasios Diamantidis (Lecturer at the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College, session chair and presenter at the 9th ICEIRD)
  • Dr Efi Vasileiou (Lecturer at the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College, session chair and presenter at the 9th ICEIRD)
  • Ms Felicia Siavalas (Undergraduate student at the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College and presenter at the 9th ICEIRD)
  • Mr Eugeniu Smesnoi (Postgraduate student at the Business Administration and Economics Department of CITY College and presenter at the 9th ICEIRD)
  • Mr Adrian Solomon (Project manager at SEERC, key member of the organization of the 9th ICEIRD and presenter)

Next year, ICEIRD will celebrate its decade of building capacity and regional development and an innovative concept of hte event is currently being prepared.
