Creating an ecosystem that enables human talent: Discovery Area for Resilient Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki was selected in a competitive process to join 100 Resilient Cities, a global initiative pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation. Platform Partners for the 100 Resilient Cities network include ARUP (a global firm of engineers, designers, planners, consultants and technical specialists), The World Bank, frog design, Microsoft, Transform Finance, and more. Through our Preliminary Resilience Assessment (PRA) published in June and available in Greek and English, one of the 5 focus areas for the city's resilience strategy is "Creating an ecosystem that enables human talent". As part of this, we are working with stakeholders in the city to explore what are the needs of the human capital in our city - the entrepreneurs, creative individuals, community leaders, active citizens - who are leading the economic hotspots of the city, or leading the way in emerging sectors, like the creative industries or alternative tourism.
