Mr. Dimitrios Pappas holds a Bsc (Hons) in Computer Science and a MSc with Distinction in Software Engineering and Telecommunications, both from the University of Sheffield. Currently he is a part-time PhD student under the Doctoral Scholarship Scheme of SEERC and the University of Sheffield. He joined SEERC in 2015 as a full-time Research Associate and has been working as a software developer on the HOMER project. He is also chairing the local Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Student Chapter, and has been active with the development of Serious Games within the context of teaching, learning and therapy. His main research interests lie in the fields of Autonomic and Bio-Inspired Computing, as well as Distributed and Service-oriented Architectures, with applications in Sensor Networks and Computational Auditory Scene Analysis.
