Two Research Associate positions currently open in the ICT research track

Applications are invited for two Research Associates to work on the newly initiated research projects OrganiK and ELEVATE, funded by FP7. The successful candidates will be working within the Information and Knowledge Management research cluster at SEERC and will be based in Thessaloniki, Greece, on a full-time basis and for a period of two years. Applications will be accepted until the posts are filled.

Research Associate in the OrganiK research project:

OrganiK is an FP7-funded research project aiming at developing an innovative Knowledge Management system that combines Web 2.0 and Semantic Web technologies and is specifically addressed for small and medium-sized knowledge-intensive enterprises (see http://www.organik-project.eu). The principal task of the postholder will be to assist in the specification of the OrganiK KM system architecture and undertake research and development for some of the system's components. Experience in Web application development (PHP, AJAX, or J2EE) is considered essential for this post. Familiarisation with core Semantic Web technologies or research-related working experience would be considered beneficial. Applicants should hold a good first degree and/or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Research Associate in the ELEVATE research project:

ELEVATE is an FP7-funded research project aiming at enabling software vendors to deliver innovative e-training services for their business partners and customers through a hybrid training and certification environment that integrates pedagogical documentation and e-training add-ons in the enterprise application software to be taught (see http://www.seerc.org/elevate.html). The principal task of the postholder will be to assist in the specification of the ELEVATE Training, Evaluation and Certification subsystem and undertake research and development for some of its components. Experience in Web application development (PHP, AJAX, or J2EE) is considered essential for this post. Familiarisation with Learning Management System technologies or research-related working experience would be considered beneficial. Applicants should hold a good first degree and/or a postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or a postgraduate degree in an area related to ICT in education.
