Startify7 Startup Academies and Boot-Camp updates

Startify7 Startup Academies and Boot-Camp updates

The second round of Startify7 (http://www.startify7.eu/) Academies and Boot-Camp has come to an end. 182 students participated in total, forming entrepreneurial teams and competing for access to a dedicated Boot-Camp event in Brussels. GetMeHome (http://www.getmehome.eu/) team from Thessaloniki Academy the final winner!  


The Katowice Entrepreneurship Academy of Video Games (July 4th - July 15th) was organized by the university of Economics in Katowice, Poland, with 41 participants. The Thessaloniki Summer Academy in Digital Transportation was prepared by SEERC, IMET (The Hellenic Institute of Transport) and i4G (July 4th - July 15th) with 48 participants. The Almeria Summer Academy in Simulations, Virtual and Augmented reality was organized by the University of Almeria (July 4th - July 15th) with 48 participants. The summer academy in Enschede on IT-Driven Social Entrepreneurship has been organized by the University of Twente (August 15th - August 25th) with 45 participants.

The four Startup Academies (Katowice, Thessaloniki, Almeria and Enschede) selected the best teams and 16 potential startups participated in the final Boot-Camp competition in Brussels (5th, 6th and 7th of October), where the teams pitched in front of an international investor committee. 

The big winner came from Thessaloniki Academy: GetMeHome (http://www.getmehome.eu/) won access to the10th edition of The European Venture Summit (5-6 December 2016) in Düsseldorf, where they pitched their idea to Europe’s most active investors.

Although the project is heading to an end, the teams are still working on their ideas, prototypes and pitches. We wish the best of luck to all of them!
