Vacancy at SEERC: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research Associate/Enterprise, Innovation and Development Research Track (Deadline for Applications: July 6, 2009)
Applications are invited for one Research Associate position to work on the INTERVALUE project, funded by the South East Europe programme (www.southeast-europe.net/en/). Applicants should hold a good first degree and preferably a postgraduate degree (or equivalent experience) in Economics, Management, IT or a related discipline. Fluency in English and Greek is essential. The post is full-time, fixed-term and based at SEERC in Thessaloniki. The deadline for applying is July 6, 2009.

Call for PhD Applications at SEERC (Deadline June 17th)
The South East European Research Centre invites applications for studying towards
a PhD degree of the University of Sheffield, through the Doctoral Programme of SEERC.
The deadline for applying is June 17, 2009. Details concerning the avaliable research
topics and the application submission process can be found in the Call for Applications.
A small number of fee waiver studentships will become available to qualifying applicants.

DSC 2009 - Call for Participation
The 4th South East European Doctoral Student Conference (DSC 2009) will take place on the 6th and 7th of July 2009, in Thessaloniki, Greece. The conference aims at providing an opportunity for researchers at the start of their careers to share their work with peers from the region of South East Europe and receive advice from experts in their chosen field of research.

Social Policy and International Interventions in South East Europe
A new book investigating the role of international actors in the making of social policy in South East Europe has been published by Edward Elgar Publishing. Bob Deacon (Professor of International Social Policy at the University of Sheffield, UK) and Paul Stubbs (Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics in Zagreb, Croatia) edited the volume that collects research outcomes from a series of workshops on Multi-level Governance organised by SEERC.
