Collaboration with The EUcareNet

Collaboration with The EUcareNet
Added on 30/03/2018

Mr. George Pavlidis, Academic Director of postgraduate studies in Neuropsychology and Dr. Vassilis Chatzimpyros, Research Director of the Psychology Department, commenced a collaboration with The EUcareNet, part of the HealthCareEurope project, that aims at fostering transparency and recognition of prior learning within geographical mobility of professionals in the healthcare sector.

Their collaboration with the project will focus on promoting partnerships with health care professionals and researchers, regarding issues of long term care and immigration and access to health.

The social, political and structural changes regarding health care in Europe, have increased the need to re-evaluate issues concerning access to health, human rights and employability within the health care system.

More specifically the significant demographic changes accompanied with an increased shortage of skilled workers in health highlight the need for a comprehensive rethink in healthcare throughout Europe. With these trends, the recognition of lifelong learning in healthcare is more important than ever before.
