Ms Laketa is a graduate of CITY College, and she is currently undertaking a PhD on the topic of bilingualism and cognitive functioning. She had previously studied at the University of Bath, UK, where she obtained an MSc degree in the field of Health Psychology. During her master’s, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Psychology, where she wrote and published a paper on cycling campaigns and their effects on cycling uptake, and was also involved in the FoodRisc project that aimed to explore people's reactions to food recalls in the US and UK. 

Ms Laketa also had the chance to work in a private clinic in Bucharest/Romania as the assistant of the Medical Director, where she was actively involved in a health intervention that aimed to promote behaviour and lifestyle change among teenagers and young adults.

She speaks six languages and apart from psychology, she is very passionate about films, music and arts.

Ms Laketa currently teaches the units of Health Psychology, Evolutionary Psychology, and Introduction to Psychology (tutorials) at CITY College.

Her research interests are related to Health Promotion, Healthy Cognitive Aging, Health Innovation and Technology, Improving Quality of Life, Bilingualism and Cognitive Functioning, Alzheimer's disease and Dementia.
