The 2nd Annual South East European Doctoral Student Conference (DSC2007) took place on June 22nd and 23rd in Thessaloniki, Greece, and was organised by the South East European Research Centre. Building on the success of the first conference, this year's conference attracted a large number of submissions resulting in around 100 presentations of both papers and posters.

The audience of the conference expanded beyond the boundaries of South East Europe and had presentations from UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovenia, Hungary, Poland and as far as Ukraine, confirming then need for Doctoral Students to come together, discuss their experiences and gain external feedback to their work as well as listen to the progress and methodology of fellow PhD candidates.

The conference papers are divided with respect to the following thematic areas:

  • Enterprise and Regional Development track (23 full papers)
  • Information and Communication Technologies track (21 full papers)
  • Governance, Politics, and Society track (16 full papers)
  • Risk, Well-Being, and Cognition track(5 full papers)
