On January 31, 2024, the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) hosted an insightful workshop titled "Transitioning to Impact Investing and Responsible Start-ups" at the Thessaloniki Innovation Zone. The event, held from 18:00 to 20:30, unveiled the Social Responsibility for Start-ups Model (SRSM), a pioneering framework designed to help start-ups balance social responsibilities with business achievements.

Introduced by Prof. Panayiotis Ketikidis of the Thessaloniki Innovation Zone and SEERC, and featuring Dr. Simeon Veloudis from CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, as the main speaker, the workshop offered a comprehensive guide on integrating SRSM into business operations. Conducted in Greek, the session marked a significant contribution to the RRIstart H2020 project, aiming to promote socially responsible investment (SRI) through innovative models like SRSM, tailored for STEM start-ups. Attendees left equipped with knowledge and tools to navigate the realms of impact investing and sustainable business practices effectively.
